RAPIDDEFEND TO DONATE 15% OF GROSS SALES TO COVID-19 FRONTLINE AND POINT-OF-CARE WORKERS

DE, USA – Mar 20, 2020 – RapidDefend today announced that 15% of all new client sales from mid-July through to August 2020 will be donated to COVID-19 frontline and point-of-care workers. The uncapped donation comes at a pivotal time when unprecedented demands and expectations on workers are at an all-time high.

“Although financial resources are just one piece of the COVID-19 puzzle to testing as many people as quickly and accurately as possible, this is an area where we can contribute in a big positive way,” says Chris Taylor, Director of Marketing at RapidDefend. “While our announcement coincides with the release of Mk II of our industry-leading test kits, this attention is not on us, but on those who administer and coordinate testing.”

In consultation with new clients, aligned COVID-19 frontline and point-of-care services, initiatives and/or institutions will be identified and nominated to receive proceeds. In light of volatile and dynamic COVID-19 financial resource demands, donated funds will be uncapped. Proceeds will be distributed bi-weekly throughout July and August 2020.

“The unwavering efforts of frontline and point-of-care workers has, to be honest, left us lost for words. It’s demonstrated how quickly, effectively and efficiently we can all come together to fight a common enemy when we have to, putting differences aside and just getting on with things,” adds Chris Taylor. “Ultimately, it’s the frontline and grassroots where the majority of the work is done. Naturally, it makes sense to support those who are putting their health and safety on the line every day, without hesitation.”

COVID-19 AT-HOME SELF-TESTING ENDEAVORS TO FLATTEN THE CURVE AND REDUCE THE REPRODUCTION (R) NUMBER

DE, USA – Mar 23, 2020 – Will at-home testing be the panacea to this global pandemic? Yes, says RapidDefend, which has embarked on an ambitious endeavor to supply COVID-19 whole blood test kits to home users all over the world. Employing a direct to consumer model, RapidDefend are on track to fulfil their mission of empowering individuals to proactively take control of their health without placing unnecessary burden on already stressed health care systems. RapidDefend believe that if more people are tested sooner, and appropriate isolation strategies are employed, the curve can be flattened and the reproduction number (R) reduced, significantly.

“Simply said, we’ve spent countless hours and invested enormous resources to pioneer speed, accuracy and ease of use. The end product is Coronavirus Rapid Home Test Kit – Whole Blood – an affordable at-home test kit that delivers accurate results in 15 minutes without relying on public systems or third-party providers to administer and interpret. It’s peace of mind on your fingertip”, says Chris Taylor, Director of Marketing at RapidDefend. “The fact is, confirmed cases represent a low single digit percentage of administered tests. What this means, is that more than 90% of all tests are not only negative, they’re consuming finite resources that can, and should be, reserved for those who truly need them. Worse still, only a fraction of the population is being tested. It’s a tragedy!”

With the prick of a fingertip and a small drop of blood, results and peace of mind are available in minutes, not hours or days. Using colloidal gold immunochromatography to qualitatively detect COVID-19 (Sars-Cov-2) IgM and/or IgG antibodies, indication of both current and previous infection can be provided with 98% accuracy. From the comfort of their own homes, with complete privacy and discretion a home user can self-administer the test before seeking medical attention.

“With consumers on board, all we need now is for their governments to follow suite and advocate the use and distribution of at-home testing. It’s time that the responsibility and burden of COVID-19 testing is shared among the people instead of being centralized and confined to a system and bureaucracy that’s already unable to manage,” adds Chris Taylor. “Furthermore, survey respondents tell us that a self-administered fingertip prick is far more tolerable than having a stick put up their nose – an experience many describe as “painful, invasive and uncomfortable, with questionable accuracy.”

COVID-19 RAPID HOME TEST KITS SET TO RELIEVE OVER-BURDENED PUBLIC HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS WORLDWIDE

DE, USA – Mar 20, 2020 – Home testing is the future. Leading this future is RapidDefend with the introduction of Coronavirus Rapid Home Test Kit – Whole Blood – a test kit delivering results in as little as 15 minutes with 98% accuracy. Addressing the pandemic that has taken the world by storm and over-burdened public health care systems, the COVID-19 test kit is designed to be used at home with complete privacy and discretion.

“In this day and age where consumers have the resources they need – at their fingertips, to proactively take control of their health, we have a duty and responsibility to help them do so,” says Chris Taylor, Director of Marketing at RapidDefend. “Not only are we able to empower consumers, this is exactly what they want. According to our most recent survey conducted between January and February this year, 78% of consumers said they would self-test from the privacy of their home before seeing a medical professional.”

The rapid home test kit, available for pre-order, is currently pending FDA approval before being made available to United States residents. Using colloidal gold immunochromatography to qualitatively detect COVID-19 (Sars-Cov-2) IgM and/or IgG antibodies in human whole blood samples, the test is non-respiratory with a high level of accuracy. Both IgM and IgG antibodies are strong indicators of current and previous infection.

“Until now, COVID-19 testing is uncomfortable, time and resource-intensive, and arguably, relatively inaccurate. Why, with the technology we have today, are we taking swabs, sending them away to labs, and waiting 3-5 days for results?”, asks Mr. Taylor. “Public health care systems are being stressed, unnecessarily, when all we have to do is empower the home user to self-test and seek medical attention as required. With the prick of a fingertip and a small drop of blood, results and peace of mind are available in minutes, not days. Our test kit is easy to use, easy to interpret, and affordable. Unfortunately, while we can provide many, many thousands of test kits, the reality is, we still are unable to meet demand.”
